Scrap steel is delivered to TSR by traders and waste management companies as well as directly from companies who accumulate the material. The purchasers are mainly German and European steel producers and foundries. TSR acts as a link between the scrap producers and traders on the one hand and the steel and metal industry on the other.

Metal recycling is a closed circuit industry: collection and sorting, processing and reintroduction into the production process. Scrap steel is a valuable raw material. Expertly sorted and processed, it can be reintroduced into the material cycle any number of times and virtually without a loss of quality. This saves energy and valuable resources in the production of new products.

The products are categorised into standard grades and sold to the steelworks and foundries as required. They are transported by rail, road and sea.

Our export stockyards in the ports of Rotterdam, Hamburg and Bremen are the central transshipment facilities. The scrap is bundled and shipped all over the world from these facilities.
