Starting your career after university:
TSR’s trainee program

  • TSR offers university graduates the opportunity to begin their career at the company as a management trainee. These future, up-and-coming managers take part in an 18-month program which not only teaches them about our business but also about other matters that are important for both their professional and personal development. All in all, you are given the know-how you need to carve out a successful career for yourself at TSR. Which is good for you and good for us. At the end of the day, we also want to make the most of your management qualities to grow our business.

What to expect

  • We believe it is very important for you to be involved in our day-to-day business right from the very start and for you to carry out your own projects. You get to see the operational side of our work – for example, how the material streams are managed at our plants and how the scrap metals are actually purchased. Management trainees also spend some time at our parent company, REMONDIS – one of the world’s leading recycling, service and water businesses. What’s more, you are given professional and personal support throughout your traineeship. Other aspects of the course include regular meetings to give you feedback about your performance as well as a continuous exchange of information with upper management.

How your future career could progress

  • Once you have successfully completed our graduate trainee program, you will become a part of our expanding group with an attractive performance and success-based remuneration package. We are looking for people who have the ability to and are prepared to take on challenging managerial tasks on a long-term basis. One possible initial goal could be, for example, to play a role in our scrap metal purchasing division. After that, depending on your performance, you can gradually move up the career ladder.

Your qualifications and skills

    We expect you to have a university degree in Economics, Business Engineering or a similar subject. You are a hands-on person and are looking to take on responsibility quickly. You think and act in a target-oriented manner, are extremely flexible and have plenty of initiative. Should you also have strong communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team, then we very much look forward to receiving your application!
