TSR Group grows its network in Benelux and the UK

Lünen / ‘s-Gravendeel. The Dutch recycling firm HKS Scrap Metals B.V. – a fully owned subsidiary of the TSR Group – took over the Dutch family-run company Van Dalen Metals Recycling & Trading on 03 May 2018.

Founded as a metal recycling business back in 1947, Van Dalen has six business locations in the Netherlands, Belgium and the UK. The family-owned firm’s business activities focus on collecting, processing, recycling and marketing ferrous and non-ferrous metals. As a result of the merger of the two companies, the TSR Group will now have a total of 13 locations and around 270 employees in the Benelux countries and the UK.

“Van Dalen’s network of six business locations and recycling technology is a perfect addition to our European network,” commented Bernd Fleschenberg, managing director of the TSR Group. “We will be able to work together to provide our clients with an even better portfolio of services as well as to expand our recycling activities and further strengthen our presence in the region.”

Both parties had signed an agreement to merge their businesses back on 19 February 2018, which first had to be approved by the relevant authorities. Following the approval, the acquisition was then officially concluded on 03 May 2018.
